LAST FRIDAY, APRIL 29 IN THE BEAUTIFUL HAMMERSON HALL, LIVING ARTS CENTRE A STAR-STUDDED AWARDS SHOW HONOURED SOME OF THE VERY BEST!
Last Friday, this world renowned GTA music Awards show that consistently honours some of the best artists in the world today, celebrated its seventh year. Back for his seventh year we welcomed the delightful Alexander Zonjic who brings just the right mix of irreverence, humour and genuine love for and knowledge of the music. Staying true to the show’s mandate the talent was once again top of the line. Our 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Larry Carlton was so humble and honoured to receive the award. And then he played – oh boy did he play! What a guitarist! He recently added another Grammy (his fourth) to his mantelpiece! Larry Carlton and Tak Matsumoto won the Pop Instrumental Album for their collaboration, Take Your Pick. There were also terrific performances from: Mindi Abair, Paul Brown, Michael Dunston, Leyland Gordon, Gabriel Mark Hasselbach, Warren Hill, Dave Koz, Lisa McClowry & Jim Peterik, Steve Oliver, Alexander Zonjic.
